We're the market leader in our space and we're entering an exciting period of growth having recently secured our Series C funding from SEEK.

This is a unique opportunity to work across both our Sales & Product Growth teams, whose focus is to develop a scalable, digital approach to acquiring new customers.

This isn’t your typical sales role! Instead of cold calling, you’ll be taking a more digitised approach to hitting your number. You’ll focus your efforts on existing users of our platform - they may already be engaging with a free trial, or may have reached out to us to ask for more information. Your mission is to turn them into long-term customers.

This role will offer you the chance to truly develop your sales career and to work with an amazing team! You'll also have a variety of progression opportunities, from a role in our New Business team to a potential opportunity in Customer Success.

Salary: $45K-$55K base + uncapped commission structure (OTE of $75k +)

Location: this role is based in our Sydney hub on Kent Street, with the option to work from home several days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to customers who are enjoying a free trial, converting them to long-term users!
  • Support them through their onboarding journey to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
  • Use discovery calls to unveil customer needs and requirements.
  • Act as an opener and close subscription-based prospects for Employment Hero’s digital sales channel.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to inquiries via live chat. These will come from multiple channels, including web, in app, and on-demand demos.
  • Identify customer intentions and create nurturing customer journeys to further develop your prospects.
  • Create incentives and promotions for qualified leads.
  • Work in partnership with the Product Growth team to increase conversions through customer insights.
  • Continually seek feedback on our product, and use it to optimise the customer journey.
  • Work closely with local and remote development teams through agile methodologies, to solve identified business problems with a focus on delivering results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a high-volume, inside sales role.
  • A track record of over-achieving on targets.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • A strong phone presence and demonstrated resilience in a phone-based role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively.
