We are looking for a Lead Portfolio Architect - Security to join us in our Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne or Canberra office.

The mission of the Security teams collectively is to ensure that Xero's security posture remains progressively robust and we are building security accountability systems to prove it. This portfolio is critical to the ongoing success of Xero, and our ability to achieve our vision - to be the most insightful and trusted small business platform
About the role
The Lead Portfolio Architect is a key contributor to the overall technical direction of our Security capability. You will help define and support the execution of the technical runway that supports the development of the future technology stack for Xero. You will work closely with General Managers, Product Managers and Engineering Leads in the Security portfolio to ensure that technical outcomes are closely aligned to and integrated into their agreed plans. You will Identify technology trends that could be risks or opportunities and assess and share the impact of these trends. You’ll play an active role in the global architecture team actively contributing to Xero-wide projects and strategies and providing the viewpoint of the Security portfolio.
You will build an effective team of architects that continually improves and is respected by the development teams for helping them deliver value to our customers. Provide line management and coaching for architects within the team, including 1:1s, personal development plans and pastoral care. For any work where it is agreed the architecture team leads the execution of that work, you will ensure that the work is effectively managed, delivers a positive return on investment and is seen as successful by stakeholders.
