About the position

Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Write, design, develop and build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies.
  • Build analytics tools and correct errors and faults in the tools. Assist in using analytical tool that uses data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. 
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members and provide technical guidance and strategies that assist them in building and optimising our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Research and identify limitation within the current systems and processes. Design, test, install and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

About you

  • Data tooling skills (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Airflow)
  • Be proficient in big data programming languages (Scala, Python, SQL, Java)
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or a Bachelor of Software Engineering
  • 3 + years of experience
