Based in Adelaide’s innovation neighbourhood Lot Fourteen alongside the Australian Space Agency, Myriota is at the forefront of our growing space industry, and we’re excited to announce we’re hiring a Strategic Account Executive to join our team.

Role Overview

A senior member of Myriota’s revenue team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients who are developing and/or deploying IoT solutions utilising Myriota’s cutting edge satellite communications technology. In conjunction with a team of Account Executives, you will assist the Marketing team identify potential clients, and then take those clients on a journey from technical discovery, through to technical development and ultimately scaled deployment. With support from the technical team, you will contribute to customer success by ensuring they have the resources needed to deploy ground breaking IoT applications. Reporting to the VP of Sales & Business Development, you will have knowledge of a range of IoT communications technologies and will ideally have industry experience in sectors such as defence, agtech, utilities, logistics and environmental monitoring. You will have outstanding communication and presentation skills, and the ability to influence people from the farm gate to the board room.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of Myriota Account Executives within the sales team allocated to strategic accounts
  • Work with the Myriota marketing team to develop strategic lead generation activities
  • Liaise with the Myriota technical team to assist customers develop Myriota enabled IoT solutions in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Build customer centric and deep relationships with potential and existing clients and end-user customers
  • Represent Myriota professionally, knowledgeable and with credibility at various levels and at various public forums

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience leading technical sales teams and working with technical support staff
  • Prior experience in IoT and/or wireless communications technology
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence a complex commercial deals with large corporate clients
  • A strong background in technical sales and account management

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience

  • Direct experience in the defence, agtech, utilities, logistics or environmental monitoring industries
  • A high level understanding of common wireless communications technologies and IoT enablers
  • Experience with common IoT sensors and sensor interface protocols
  • An understanding of IoT device development processes including software and firmware development, electronics design, industrial design, cloud integration, and data visualisation
  • Project management experience
  • Commercial experience including budget setting, sales targets, business case development and acumen

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or similar
  • (non-compulsory) Project Management Qualification
  • Australian Citizen / Security Clearance
