About the role

The Group Financial Controller role is a new position for Finder, to accommodate our growth across the business as we prepare for external investor(s). As the GFC you will effectively oversee and managing of the finance function globally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and present the monthly financial results to group CEOs.
  • Updating the 3-year strategic plan & oversee the annual budget cycle. 
  • Ensure a timely annual audit and manage all Tax Affairs for the Group.
  • Assist with any M&A when required (Due diligence, settlement adjustments etc) 
  • Oversee preparation of annual Statutory Accounts in accordance with relevant reporting requirements (IFRS, GAAP, etc) 
  • Oversee the Treasury Operations (cashflows, bank debt, cash held, FX, etc) 

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Currently a Financial Controller for a medium-size company (not a subsidiary)  (revenue $50-$150m); preferably a public company or worked for one previously
  • Consolidations and multi-currency experience 
  • Ideally, Big 4 / Chartered Accountant trained 
  • Completed statutory accounts under US GAAP reporting guidelines for a publicly listed company. 
  • A positive people leader with the ability to uplift, motivate and drive a successful team
  • Budgets and 3-year plans 
  • Corporate Tax Exposure (or worked with external advisors) 
  • Understanding of Bank/debt facilities

Nice to have:

  • Acquisitions of companies & relevant accounting (Valuations, Goodwill, Impairments, etc) 
  • Negotiation Skills - with external parties and internal stakeholders
