My People and Purpose

Our Creative Marketing team is a dynamic and electric group of talented people all working to a common goal of producing great content for our audiences across all THE ICONIC’s platforms. 

Our team's skill set is diverse and rich in experience in everything from creative direction, styling, producing, graphic design, copywriting, photography, motion and much more. Our approach to work is collaborative – we are stronger together. 

Our Copywriter nurtures and strengthens our voice. They write industry-leading copy across all of THE ICONIC’s platforms – onsite, EDM, app and more – including men’s, women’s, sport, beauty and kids categories.

Working within the Copy and Editorial Team you will collaborate with site editors, UX and Engagement Marketing to write attention-grabbing subject lines and original, engaging website copy that steers THE ICONIC tone of voice. You will have a natural flair for writing high-quality fashion content that maintains THE ICONIC as an industry leader in all fashion related news and trends.

  • I am detail-oriented, process and deadline-driven with an ability to manage multiple projects.

What It Takes

  • Three or more years of experience as a copywriter. 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to efficiently multitask. 
  • Extensive knowledge of, and obsession with, men’s and women’s fashion trade and trends, designers, culture, celebrities and fashion history. 
  • An ear to the ground when it comes to the zeitgeist and trending topics. 
  • Understanding of the digital landscape – how to write market-leading headlines, a track record of crafting copy that’s eye-catching, a firm grip of SEO principles.
  • A solid understanding of copy best practice.
  • An enthusiastic attitude and a genuine love of our brand.
  • An innate digital- and mobile-first approach to creating content.

This role is usually based in Sydney CBD with great transport, shopping and food districts all within close distance to Hyde Park for those who enjoy lunchtime exercise or just some fresh air!
