Requirements

About the role

Based in the Sydney office, we are a team of data scientists, engineers and analysts. We love everything around data: engineering, visualisation, and investigations. We provide insights to the rest of the company and our clients based on the large amounts of data we have available at Rokt.

Our main product is "Incrementality". It is measuring the incremental share Rokt provides to our customers. Custom reports, data extraction aggregation and research are also part of our day-to-day business.

We are practicing common agile principles such as sprints, reviews and retrospectives.

You will be responsible for everything that needs automation, coding, engineering, testing, reviewing and deployment.

Outcomes & responsibilities

  • Writing and maintaining program code to meet requirements and technical specifications
  • Implementing tests to verify incoming and outgoing data, calculations and reports
  • Write AWS CloudFormation stacks to automatically spin up and tear down infrastructure
  • Set up deployment pipelines including logging and alerting
  • Working with the rest of the team to elaborate, find and solve issues and improve overall quality

Capabilities & requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent experience or demonstrable aptitude
  • 3+ years of relevant commercial software experience
  • A keen interest in the latest software engineering technologies
  • Strong and clear communication skills
  • A high level of detail in whatever you do
  • Excellent knowledge of Python3 and SQL
  • Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server
  • Knowledge about APIs, REST, JSON, Git
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (Cloudformation, ECS, S3)
  • Testing: unit, regression, integration, snapshot, acceptance
  • CI/CD such as Buildkite, CircleCI, Bamboo or a similar platform
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies with Docker, bonus: Kubernetes
