As the Head of learning and development, you will report to the Chief People Officer and be expected to influence the board and senior managers at all levels to adopt and support effective approaches to learning and development. You will also be involved in succession planning and talent management with experience in designing e-learning programmes and managing budgets. Ultimately, you will help our company succeed by training and developing its people.
The head role in L&D is both a strategic and operational role. Hence, you will be required to meet with the senior management and P&C on a regular basis in this standalone role. You will also need to liaise with them to align the overall learning and development strategy with the broader business goals of the company.

What you’ll be doing
Planning, creating, implementing and improving learning solutions that support business unit goals and strategic objectives through systems, frameworks, processes and toolsEvaluate individual and organizational development needs, create and execute learning strategies and programs to address those needsImplement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)Design, coordinate, and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainingsAssess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and business partnersIdentifying opportunities for development, developing business cases and championing initiativesApplying adult learning theories to ensure employees get the best out of their developmentEnsure consistent learning methodologies are designed and scaled across our globally spread workforceCoordinate engaging training and development programs through a combination of learning methodsExplore and stay current on opportunities to introduce and expand digital learningMaintain L&D records and documents
What we are looking for
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or certification in training, coaching and developmentA strong understanding of coaching and development techniques and delivery across a global organizationProfessional certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plusPrior experience as senior HR/L&D Manager/DirectorSolid understanding of adult learning principles, experience working with multiple countries and culturesPrevious experience identifying needs, developing strategies and implementing L&D initiatives and programs, with the ability to build a flexible approach to meet diverse needsConsultative and collaborative approach to end-to-end Learning & Development across global teams, with stakeholders at various levelsProficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)Current knowledge of effective learning and development methodsFamiliarity with e-learning platforms and best practices for digital learning experiencesExcellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumenPassionate and focused around delivering results in an ever changing and demanding, global environmentProven experience in project management and budgetingAbility to build rapport with employees and vendorsExceptional written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong work ethic and willingness to continuously upskill
