As we continue to rapidly scale a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Global Senior Communications Manager to join our growing Marketing team. 

Reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications, this is a diverse, hands on role with endless opportunity to own your own projects and set your vision. 

You will love switching gears from corporate communications to brand storytelling, and will be confident engaging varied audiences across multiple markets. Your hands-on and collaborative approach combined with your ability to think strategically and creatively will see you deliver best in class communications for one of the worlds fastest growing global SaaS companies.

What will I be doing?

  • Craft corporate and consumer communications strategies informed by data, trends and insights that accurately reflect brand messaging, deliver cut through and resonate in a variety of countries
  • Develop robust communications toolkits and assets for diverse audiences and markets
  • Maximise key company milestones (funding rounds, acquisitions, joint ventures etc.) via effective media relations 
  • Amplify a variety of brand campaigns, sponsorships and brand ambassador partnerships via effective media relations 
  • Develop proactive sector specific media relationship campaignsHelp communicate the value of SafetyCulture for businesses by generating coverage that explains the technology’s benefits
  • Provide clear communications counsel and media training to senior leadership
  • Support senior leadership with public speaking opportunities, including message preparation
  • Drive high performance of agency partners and freelancers 
  • Build strong relationships with media, stakeholders and influencers
  • Own and drive timely strategic responses to inbound media queries, correcting inaccuracies where appropriate and rallying internal stakeholders
  • Develop and write compelling media releases, Q&As, statements, quotes, op-eds and more 
  • Act as a brand champion. Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure all communications are on-brand and on-message across all channels
  • Maintain and enhance the SafetyCulture News Rooms
  • Partner with our internal communications lead to ensure internal and external communications are synced and coordinated (where relevant) 
  • Measure and track the impact of PR campaigns
  • What do I need?

  • 7+ years of blended corporate and consumer communications experience 
  • Robust experience leading global communications teams (in-house or agency) Strong relationships with mainstream business, tech and news reporters in Australia (and an understanding of the workings of media in the US and Europe) 
  • Experienced project manager who is highly organised and adept at delivering quality work to deadline, on budget and hitting KPIs
  • Able to work independently and proactively and ever-ready to get hands on with execution
  • Strong writing, editing, messaging skills, and an eye for detailExcellent stakeholder management
  • A strategic and creative thinker with a strong grasp of cultural and technology trends  
  • High levels of initiative  
  • Experience in a fast paced agency or startup environment, ideally for a technology brand
  • Previous experience managing and clearly articulating complex/emerging products 
  • Experience executing PR campaigns in Australia, US and Europe
