The Global Strategic Programs team within Talent Acquisition is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead some of the Strategic Programs identified by Atlassian. As we scale our TA function, focus on projects and initiatives that fundamentally change or reshape how we have been operating in the past becomes a key. These could comprise of a complete greenfield project or revamping and taking on the existing projects to a much larger scale to enable Atlassian’s growth. This team needs to build projects in such a way that over a period of time it gets incorporated into the way be do business. In other words becomes BAU. This will allow the team to pick new initiatives and keep the cycle rolling. As we evolve, the team will need to explore Automation opportunities to problem solving there by enable us to evaluate whether to invest in automation as a longer term strategy or build repeatable processes.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for identifying blockers or opportunities as we embark on this journey of being a 15,000 employee strong organisation
  • Work with cross functional teams based in multiple geographies not only to ideate but also to partner in building solutions which are scalable
  • Be owning 2 to 3 global initiatives individually or in teams, with an average life cycle spanning 12 to 18 months
  • Have the ability to build and execute research work, analyse data to summarise meaningful recommendations best suited for Atlassian are a big part of my role expectation
  • Work across different timezones based on the need to connect with my team or stakeholders. Your success lies in my ability to influence without authority, manage conflicts and drive consensus while leading complex projects
  • Required to manage a team reporting into you or in a metrics format
  • Be the primary point of contact for leadership teams and strategic direction of the program.
  • Ensure Program Managers on the team are aligned to the highest priority items and assist them in running projects on the roadmap where needed
  • Accountable for tracking the FY22 and beyond strategy roadmap for the program including resource planning, milestones tracking and any regular reporting
  • Own, direct, and drive timely and effective communications, especially in regards to setting up new processes and other change management activities for the program. This includes audiences from within the Talent Acquisition function and across various business teams where the program is live
  • Evaluate the program strategy and insights in regards to implementation/execution/adoption across the company where program is live. Aid in ensuring ownership/ accountability, timely decision making, data clarity and related items to ensure program velocity is high
  • Coach, assist and facilitate team to enable them to continue to grow and be even more effective
  • Investigate trends and innovations; use the knowledge to advise how we can improve our program
  • Ensure a diversity, equity and inclusion lens is coordinated into all our processes and programs

  • Experience managing to deliverables and milestones: on time/within budget/meeting business needs
  • Ability to manage troubled teams/projects and bring them to success
  • Proven experience with projects which are global and complex in nature
