This role is in Brighte’s Research & Innovation team, and will provide expertise in behavioural research for the Energy product team. You will use the latest scientific insights, methodologies and self-driven research projects.

This role requires you to be a self-starter. You are curious which leads you to see the opportunities, define the questions that need to be answered, and help shape the strategic direction of our products, based on insights and data.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with the Head of Research & Innovation, Product Managers and UX team to understand product requirements.
  • Define hypothesis, generate insights and form an evidence based approach to understand and define what our ideal Energy products should be like from a consumer point of view. This will also inform the ongoing roadmap of consumer and product research that you will drive.
  • Drive the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative studies to address consumer needs across divisions of the company (e.g., product, UX, marketing) in an agile and iterative manner. You are able to draft surveys, construct marketing tests, run research sprints, and manage third-party research services to provide valuable insights for our product development. You can improve research approach and iterate on learnings based on the business needs.
  • Help build an insight-driven decision-making culture across Brighte by defining processes and requirements towards better decisions.
  • Communicate and present your research across Brighte and facilitate feedback and learning sessions to the wider team.
  • Who you are

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience. Having worked in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment like technology companies, scale-ups, and product teams is a plus.
  • Ability to design experimental and research processes.
  • Can demonstrate how prior research led to actionable insights and business impact in a cross-functional setting.
  • Comfortable using online tools like Confluence, Jira, Slack as your primary method of communication is a plus.
  • Comfortable using research tools like Dovetail to help standardise approach and make insights accessible across the company is a plus.
  • Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, behavioural economics, marketing, research, or a related field (preferred)
  • Demonstrates curiosity and ability to engage across a broad range of internal collaborators/teams and move forward with the best ideas and decisions.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, and to bring structure and deliver results in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
