About the role:
This Strategy & Business Development role is for a highly motivated, dynamic and commercially minded individual that can partner with leaders across the business to accelerate the growth of the AU business. You own the development and delivery of the growth plan, support and/or lead key growth initiatives, and provide analytical and commercial leadership to support Finder’s Australian growth. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated to initiate and implement innovative methods that encourage continuous improvement. 

You would be a self-motivated, highly functional leader with a passion to understand the bigger picture & think strategically, while equally able to successfully drive outcomes through world-class delivery and execution. You will provide thought leadership to the entire AU Leadership team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Definition: bringing together key information such as competitor performance, operational performance, innovations, markets, etc.,
  • Planning:  responsible for the development of Finder AU’s planning process, including the development of company plans and budgets. 
  • Delivery:  Establish and review key strategic priorities and translate them into actionable and quantitative plans.
  • Performance Management: management and development of the business’s KPIs and tracking of performance against plans and growth objectives. 
  • Business Development:  deal lead or support for ‘non-standard’ partnership opportunities.
  • M&A:  identify opportunities, ensure that they make strategic sense, support negotiations, and ensure smooth integration.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field (MBA preferred). 
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a corporate strategy position, ideally within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • A natural collaborator with an empathetic management style, and ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong clear communication and framing skills, both verbally and in written form.
  • Exceptionally good analytical skills, an ability to translate raw and often imperfect information into actionable strategies and initiatives. 
  • Strong attention to detail, have high-energy and a proactive nature, be result-driven, and have exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate an ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • A people person with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team into consistent performance improvement.
  • Be able to deliver constructive criticism and feedback to and with all levels of the organisation.
