Alongside Market & Elements, our portfolio also includes Milkshake, a website builder for Instagrammers, Placeit, a smart template tool for logos, mockups, graphic design & more, Mixkit, for free stock footage and animation, and most recently, Twenty20, a stock-photo subscription service.

With over 600 people globally, we have offices in Guadalajara, Mexico & Los Angeles, alongside our funky Melbourne HQ. A bit more about the role

At Envato, we are passionate about our Authors. For over 14 years we’ve been enabling independent Authors around the world to earn a living, and we’ve paid out close to $1 Billion dollars. Envato is entering a new phase for Authors, and we are looking for leaders to help build our offering for Authors for the next wave of growth.  Our strategy aims to make Envato easier,  faster and more engaging to work with for our Authors as we continue to deliver rapid global growth in our subscription and market products.

What you’ll be doing

Envato operates a two-sided market where Authors create and supply content which is licensed by our Customers. The Senior Manager New Authors has commercial responsibility for the successful acquisition of Authors to Envato. 

The role’s purpose is to ensure that Authors are joining Envato efficiently and at scale to deliver the content library that supports our customer and product ambitions. The role’s responsibility for the Author is completed once an Author receives their first payment.

What we’re looking for

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Successfully grow our Author base in line with our commercial aspirations through direct and digital acquisition
  • Leadership of our direct sales activity with large Authors
  • Leadership of our online sign-up and activation of our Authors
  • Own the relationship with our large Authors throughout the activation process
  • Oversee and orchestrate with other teams to ensure signed Authors become productive on Envato
  • Appropriately manage the use of incentive funds to assist the successful acquisition of new Authors
  • Champion improved Author journeys and experiences that deliver faster, better outcomes for Authors and Envato
  • People Management and Leadership for the New Author Team
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Content Group and Envato 

 Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience leading customer acquisition, growth or sales/marketing teams for B2B SaaS or marketplace business, including:
    • Direct sales to Business customers; and
    • Digital acquisition and activation of customers (B2C or B2B)
  • Experience improving acquisition funnel performance and conversion efficiency.
  • Experience working with teams to  develop a robust understanding of segments and their needs, and presenting a proposition to those needs.
  • Experience automating and streamlining acquisition and activation processes to improve business and customer outcomes
  • Experience prioritising and implementing improvements to product and proposition
  • Sufficient data capability to ensure our CAC, LTV and ROI calculations and principles to drive prioritisation of effort and improve our commercial outcomes
  • Experience with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
  • Collaborative working style, able to work with multiple teams to improve onboarding and activation outcomes
  • Champions a Customer centric view to everything we do at Envato
