About Archistar: is a fast-paced Australian AI proptech company providing solutions across all market segments in the property development lifecycle. We have recently raised a Series A funding round with Airtree and are now expanding internationally.

Objectives of the role

The Data Developer is a hands-on technical role developing scripts, programs and processes to retrieve and transform data from source through to product consumption. The role also calls for the provision of data recommendations to key stakeholders and ensures data quality and processing efficiency throughout the data lifecycle.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement data scraping processes for data retrieval
  • Develop scripts to extract data from structured and unstructured sources
  • Develop scripts to automate the processing of ETL execution
  • Understand business requirements, design and develop ETL solutions to land and process data from source to warehouse to data marts
  • Provide improvements to existing data collection processes
  • Identify data quality issues and develop solutions to rectify
  • Proactively clean data, conduct deep dives into issues and resolve them
  • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure data quality and processing efficiency

  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Experience with analysis, interpretation and preparation of large data sets for commercial use
  • Experience with ETL, ideally Pentaho, data cleansing and data migration of very large datasets
  • Experience in designing process maps, data flows and technical solutions

Experience and education requirements include:

  • 5+ years commercial experience in a data environment
  • 5+ years as a Data Developer working with relational databases (e.g. PostGreSQL, mySQL) and proficient with structured and unstructured data
  • Industry experience in property, town planning, urban development would be highly advantageous
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computing/Information Technology or related discipline desirable
