THE OPPORTUNITY

Bardee is on a mission to reshape the global food system by transforming food waste into a sustainable protein and organic rich fertiliser.

There is no blueprint for building our world-first vertical farming system but we have a team of insect-obsessed, solutions-focused, big picture thinkers that are constantly innovating to make this a reality.

The Agri-Sustainability Operator’s have the opportunity to have a hands-on impact on achieving our operational goals and mission, with potential fast-tracked career growth into a range of roles.

Joining our production team on a full-time permanent basis onsite in Sunshine North, you’ll receive a competitive salary package, including shares in Bardee. Along with this, you’ll have access to a range of generous employee benefits and perks.

ABOUT YOU

You are obsessed with creating the sustainable future the world needs, and you want to contribute to establishing insects as the cornerstone of feeding future generations.

You may not have proven work experience in this sector, but you are hungry to actively be a part of the change and go above and beyond the norm to make this change happen.

You are a hard-worker, not afraid to get your hands dirty, thrive in fast-paced environments and can roll with the punches.

You take direction well, are always looking to improve and actively seek feedback to level-up your skills.

You think like a scientist - testing hypotheses, eliminating bad ideas and rethinking beliefs, to make way for new solutions.

You are obsessed with the new and different.

You are comfortable with high-stakes work.

You are keen to work alongside a diverse team of incredible biologists and operators to transform our MVP systems into highly optimised industrial-scale insect production.

THE ROLE

The Agri-Sustainability role is suitable for anyone that is physically able, eager to contribute to this mission, and could come from a range of backgrounds. From uni graduates to someone with extensive experience in manufacturing to someone that is super keen on what we are working on. If you believe you can do or learn to do the following, we encourage you to apply:

  • Operate electric vehicles, food waste processing lines, and insect feeding robotic machinery.
  • Operate product manufacturing lines to produce insect protein for animal feed and fertiliser.
  • Test and implement new initiatives to gain manufacturing line and operational efficiencies.
  • Work collaboratively with the production and insect breeding teams to ensure a seamless production system.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene in all areas of the facility to support our quality standards and certifications.
