As a Finance Manager at Linktree, you'll be a unique combination of being highly organised and detail orientated but at the same time, extremely comfortable with ambiguity. Your plan for the day might be thrown out the window at 9am and that's fine with you. This isn't a do the tasks on the job description kind of role. It's constantly evolving, changing, and growing due to the nature of a scaling startup.
Our Finance Director Dom needs a Finance friend as he is doing a lot by himself, someone proactive that can identify tasks that need doing before they are asked to do them. A skill set broad enough that you can lend yourself to a wide range of tasks, from payroll (local and international), expenses, budgeting and reporting through to preparing investor reports. Linktree went through a Series A raise last year and we've grown from 20 to 60 staff in the past 12 months and Dom has been doing 90% of the finance-related tasks himself.
Processes will be a big thing in this role. Identify where we can be more efficient, find the solution and set those processes up.
Amongst the chaos of a growing startup is amazing people, flexibility - including where you are based, our head office is in Melbourne but you don't have to be - and interesting problems to solve.
