PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

MadeComfy’s product managers are responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of our digital platform. Highly integrated, it powers products for our customers and our operational teams.

Working collaboratively, the role will be pivotal in the end-to-end product development lifecycle. From understanding customer needs and roadmap prioritisation, to taking a hands-on approach to building requirements and supporting development, the role will ensure customer needs are continually exceeded.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Gain an understanding of the market and our customers and be able to distil, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Participate in the creation, management and communication of product roadmaps to align development to business strategy and objectives
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data to understand the impact of each initiative and feature on the product roadmaps
  • Translate initiatives and feature into a structured backlog of user stories, collaborating with UX and Development teams to ensure stories are clear and accurate
  • Work closely with the team to understand and manage development capacity and workloads
  • Monitor the progress through sprints and assist by resolving conflicts and testing functionality
  • Ensure the business understands changes to the platform

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 - 4 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner or Business Analyst
  • Have a solid technical background with an understanding of modern technologies and product development process
  • Experience with Agile approaches, design, engineering, and testing methodologies
  • Ability to comfortably engage and manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to unambiguously define goals and plans
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with incomplete information and are comfortable with uncertainty
