The Role
Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement, the Inventory Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for administrative and operational support for key network cost categories that underpin the Megaport platform.  The role encompasses a wide range of tasks to ensure that the procurement of network services and infrastructure adhere to the internal purchasing process and policies and are accurately recorded and kept up to date at all times in our inventory management system.
As Megaport continues to expand its ecosystem, the Network Procurement team works behind the scenes to secure the infrastructure and services that drive Megaport’s growth.  You will demonstrate a balanced skill set that marries a desire to understand the technical and commercial factors that drives Megaport's global expansion. Supporting the Network Procurement Officers, you'll ensure that for the services that we order we maintain stringent inventory management and accountability while identifying the best practice processes to support execution of this.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Quality check all purchase requisitions for network infrastructure and service requirements that are received to ensure that all of the pre-requisite information is provided and accurate.
  • Support the Network Procurement Officers as required on any request for proposals that are initiated.
  • Interact with Procurement Officers and other stakeholders throughout the inventory management process to ensure data integrity of all new and existing components of network inventory.
  • Conduct regular data audits across inventory, including cross-connects, colocation and network services to ensure accuracy of commercial, financial and contractual information.
  • Identify and investigate any discrepancies, liaising with third party suppliers and internal stakeholders, when necessary.
  • What We Are Looking For

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to details.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Some experience in networking technologies across the OSI (Open Systems Interconnect) model preferred.
  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience preferred, including some experience with invoice reconciliation and/or inventory management in technology-related domains.
  • Entry-level understanding of obtaining services from technology providers in colocation data centres, internet transit, network transport and telecom services.
  • Ability to drive effective cross-functional communications to effectively deliver business and role outcomes.
