About the role 

Reporting into our Marketing Operations Director, and working closely with our Marketing and Global Events teams, this role will support our events platform Aventri - and other digital platforms, to ensure the smooth running of Xero events globally. You will become our ‘systems guru’, and assist with troubleshooting and workarounds when needed. 

This 12 month contract position will be a vital part of Xero Marketing Operations - providing both tech and business support. This fast moving environment is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career and make the role your own!

What you'll do

  • Working with the Marketing Business System Analyst to configure our events platforms, ready for our small business and accounting & bookkeeping partners to register for our events
  • Ad-hoc changes to the event(s) and/or session(s) as needs arise throughout the course of the event series
  • Some ad-hoc reporting and data gathering to support regional sales and account management teams to follow up with attendees on the information they need/have requested
  • Support system configuration, administration and quality testing of our core marketing platforms managed by Marketing Operations (platform structural/operational setup)
  • Troubleshooting and bug fixing - working with the Enterprise Technology team on integration issues and Vendors through any system outages
  • Provide customer support for our platform users
  • Proactively run regular reviews of these systems and generating reports on efficiencies, system performance, and improvement areas, user feedback, additional requirements, change requests, reported bugs and provide recommendations
  • What you'll bring

  • Experience working either business systems analyst/admin/systems developer, or experience in marketing systems/platforms
  • Knowledge of modern front-end development standards, preferable (HTML5/CSS3/Javascript)
  • Intermediate understanding of business systems, and the impacts of data integrity in those systems
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking ability for problem solving and technical solutioning
  • Experience working with internal delivery teams or external systems vendor preferred
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration and ability to build effective working relationships
  • This role will be based at our Hawthorn HQ - equipped with onsite barista preparing complementary coffees daily, on-site gym, weekly EOW drinks, ping pong tables and arcade consoles.
