Why become a User Experience Writer at Noggin?

Our product team is growing and we're looking for a user experience writer to help us build product-related content that is clear, concise and delights our users. As our user experience writer, you’ll be core to ensuring that our customers fully understand our new product and the true depth of its capability, and as a result you're one of the best in the business when it comes to user experience writing and content generation. You are going to own, drive and bring to life (in content, documentation, and videos) the vision that our product team and software engineers work tirelessly to build.

You're not just writing vanilla user manuals for a one-trick-pony product, this is game changing and real-world stuff. We’re Noggin, we create award-winning software products that solve serious problems for organizations across the globe. This includes anything from the likes of natural disasters, to terrorism and threats to public safety, to saving beached whales. We have one goal: help organisations and communities manage disruption, smarter.

What does it take to be a Noggin?

As our user experience writer, you will be responsible for creating a variety of how-to videos and documentation for all existing and new software products and features. You will need to ensure that all labeling, messaging, tone, and content is consistent with Noggin's brand and to-the-point. This includes gathering and documenting the technical and non-functional aspects of our products. You will own and curate Noggin’s product knowledge base from technical specifications to FAQ content, so that our customers have all the information they need in a complete, unambiguous and digestible format.

What does success look like in this role?

Your first three months will focus on becoming well acquainted with our software solutions and user cases, understanding our content needs, and identifying potential gaps. By the six-month mark, you will have taken a proactive approach to stay ahead of the product development cycle and the materials you’ve delivered are outstanding. By the end of your first year, you will have successfully ensured that all our content is on-time, leading edge, and delivers an exceptional experience to our users.
