About the role:
Recently Xero has embarked on a significant program to modernise the technology that underpins the platform. This has resulted in a period of change for customers. Due to the volume of initiatives underway, there is a need to manage this modernisation from a customer perspective.
Therefore, a new role is being created to focus on managing the roadmap from a customer perspective. This will involve working closely with Product and Technology teams to deliver the roadmap and also with Customer and GTM teams to deliver the best outcomes for customers.
What you'll do:
Build the customer roadmap to ensure we have clear visibility across the business of what’s coming from a technology modernisation perspectiveMaintain a view of the scale of initiatives, including the customer and business impactWork closely with the GTM team to program manage the technology roadmap, ensuring that all teams are briefed in a timely mannerWork across the Product Marketing team to ensure the roadmap is consistently up to date and a consistent approach is being taken across all initiativesSupport other Product Marketing Managers to manage the customer impact, follow the GTM process and ensure a consistent approachWork with the Marketing and Communications team to craft customer facing messaging to key audiences.Work with the Communications and Internal Communications teams to brief internal customer facing teams to ensure alignmentMonitor and track customer feedback from the initiatives, report back to GTM teams and build plans to addressWork with the Technology Project Managers to ensure alignment between the technology and customer approach
How you'll make an impact:
Bring a holistic view to managing customer change, and in turn minimise negative customer impact and sentimentWork closely with the customer and GTM teams to ensure alignment and consistency across technology modernisation initiativesPartner with other Product Marketing Managers to ensure any negative customer impact is minimised, plans are in place to address any customer impact and teams are briefed to expect feedbackTranslate modernisation initiatives into customer language and messages, so customers can see the benefits of modernisationPartner with Customer and Regional Operations to manage the program, including agreeing optimal launch timing and approach, by balancing product, business and customer readiness.
What you'll bring with you:
Demonstrated experience crafting customer messages and stories to prepare customers for change.Demonstrated experience leading GTM, program management or change management initiatives.Experience working in an agile environment with technology teams and Product Managers.Confidence in working through ambiguity and creating new experiences.Passionate collaborator and thrive on the challenge of working with customer teams and bringing GTM alignmentAbility to build strong business relationships, internally and externally, that allow you to challenge and influence stakeholders whilst still having fun everyday7+ years in a product marketing, marketing, or GTM role (communications experience an advantage)Loads of initiative and able to lead virtual teams and work autonomouslyAbility to handle the pace and ambiguity that comes with working in a fast-paced tech environment.
