Our Operations & Warehouse team are responsible for ensuring our service delivery exceeds our customers expectations. This is a highly influential role in this space, working in collaboration with our Warehouse team to ensure efficient processes, our Customer Happiness team to ensure we are meeting expectations & directly with our carrier partners to ensure delivery SLA’s are being met & introducing new services.

You will be customer centric & excited by operational processes to drive improvements in key business objectives. You will love building processes & finding solutions in data. 

Reporting into our Head of DC & Operations you’ll work across departments to execute & deliver on projects & initiatives, we want you to challenge how we do things and bring a point of view. 

Responsibilities & Focus:

  • Work closely with our Warehouse Operations Manager to enable process change & improvements across the DC, including route & location optimisation, fit out improvements, packaging & general process & workflow. 
  • Training & compliance within the DC, WHS, Security etc. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in the warehouse including automation and streamlining of processes, and the most efficient use of resources.
  • This role is a key player in ensuring our customers are satisfied with their orders, You will have influence over all components of this process with the key focus on the carrier performance & delivery. You will also work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the dispatch is as efficient as possible & with our Ecom teams to ensure that we are communicating the most accurate details to our customers.
  • Outbound Carrier performance reporting & management 
  • Work with our Production Manager to ensure a timely, safe delivery of products from international manufacturers to our global warehouses.
  • Work closely with existing vendors to build relationships with a focus on continual improvement of services. This includes but is not limited to, Freight carriers both inbound & outbound, Packaging suppliers, Training partners & Operational providers. 
  • Actively seek out new Carriers/vendors to meet the needs of the business.
  • Act as an overall contact and escalation point for operational challenges
  • Intake forecasts & KPI’s including DIFOT 
  • Inbound freight vendor management 
  • Creation & maintenance of Internal SOPS, including training of wider team 
  • Ensure contractual compliance among vendors & re-negotiate terms to be in line with budgetary requirements
  • About You:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management. 
  • Proven experience in Logistics and Operations.
  • Excellent project management experience.
  • Previous experience in Ecommerce preferred.
  • Commercial mindset and passionate about organisational growth.
  • Confident and strong-willed demeanour with the ability to successfully carry out negotiations with suppliers, contractors and other third-parties. 
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail - both written and verbal.
  • Process driven with an appreciation for the importance of documentation and training
  • Organised, team player with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and be flexible to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathetic values driven approach, able to understand issues from multiple perspectives & find an appropriate solution
  • Driven & enthusiastic member of the team, always up for a challenge and has a willingness to learn
