Our ambition is to become the global partner of choice for small accommodation providers: like Xero for accountants or Shopify for eCommerce - we want to be the foundation upon which they grow their business. Hometime empowers micro-entrepreneurs who deliver an exceptional experience to thousands of guests each year.

We are looking for a Market Manager to join our team and support our ever-growing network of professional hosts. Market Managers (MMs) are the point of contact for our professional hosts and help them unlock value in the Hometime ecosystem. Part business mentor and part account manager the MMs play a crucial role in helping our partners build a successful short-term rental business. 
 

Here's what you'll do: 

  • Build and manage long-lasting relationships with our network of professional hosts (partners) to ensure the ongoing success of both Hometime and their business
  • Onboarding, educating, and training new partners across their lifecycle 
  • Facilitate migration and integration of new hosting partners from our portfolio acquisition team
  • Supervise and support the Market Coordinator to ensure partners are supported and meet their performance obligations
  • Communicate with partners and clients at a senior level to resolve issues and inquiries
  • Analyze data and utilise data-driven recommendations to identify strategic opportunities in your region to drive portfolio growth
  • Maintain a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software partners so that you can provide the right support to your partners
  • Educate partners on all significant product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Host regular check-in calls and business reviews with your partners 
  • Manage and resolve ongoing day-to-day operational complexities within our partner network
  • Drive growth of new partners, source and build a hosting partner pipeline for regional expansion & the growth of your portfolio of hosting partners
  • Respond to and deliver exceptional service to your partners in a timely and efficient manner, to provide support and guidance
  • Collaborate with other Market Managers and cross-functional partners (Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Revenue Operations, Strategic Partnerships) to drive regional supply strategy, cross-functional initiatives & implement innovative ideas to ensure our long-term success

The ideal candidate:

  • Calm under pressure, considered, highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills and management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written 
  • 3+ years of experience in market/account management: consisting of new sales, account management, and client success
  • 2+ years of hospitality/travel/accommodation industry experience a plus
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Some experience leading people, even if not directly is a plus
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
  • Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy - being an Airbnb host is a plus
  • Self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient
  • You’re a quick learner. Proactivity is key.
  • Flexibility to travel 5% of the time
