To support our growth, Swyftx is searching for a passionate Cyber Security Engineer to join our team and help build the future of our security capabilities. You'll have your hands on the wheel of the security program, shaping the future of security across Swyftx. You’ll work with our teams of developers, engineers and product leads to identify risks and deliver capabilities that protect our customers.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, you'll be joining a team of security focused professionals who work across the business to identify and resolve security risks.

What you’ll do:

  • Define, build and operate security controls that protect our customers and Swyftx from attacks.
  • Collaborate across the business to identify and resolve risks.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of our security controls.
  • Advocate and support the development of a strong cybersecurity culture across the organisation.
  • Support our engineers, developers and product teams with your knowledge of threats and attack techniques to improve the security of our products.
  • Build metric driven reporting capabilities as part of our security governance program.
  • Investigate security incidents and run the response process.
  • Occasional on-call may be required.

About you:

  • You’ll need well rounded technical skills, and to bring expertise in some areas.
  • You will be passionate about security and protecting customers from attacks.
  • You will need to be highly adaptable.
  • An understanding of programming would be advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • A good knowledge of attack techniques, and defence methods.
  • Someone who is self-motivated and focusses on getting impactful results.
  • Great collaborator, who can articulate the cyber agenda to stakeholders.
  • An ability to manage multiple deliverables in parallel.
  • Someone is comfortable with ambiguity, who focusses on incremental continuous improvement.
