As a Product Owner at Fleet you will be responsible for the vision and development of our products and features to ensure they create value for our customers and for the business.

Your ability to engage with customers and capture requirements that accurately reflect the needs of the market will be imperative for developing product roadmaps to guide and drive the vision of our development team.

As a person you are highly organised and pro-active in your approach to work. Your communication skills are second to none and you understand the concept of active listening and effective communication.

Your ability to prioritise tasks and drive development efforts in line with the product roadmap, combined with your ability to inspire and motivate development teams to deliver in accordance with the vision of the product, will be key to success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with customers and understand market trends to establish product road maps and develop products that add value to both the customers and the business
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during the vision and concept development of the product
  • Capture requirements and communicate the product vision to business stakeholders
  • Create customer journey mapping and anticipate customer and market needs for future product development
  • Own the development of the product internally and externally and act as the primary contact for queries related to the product
  • Communicate and drive the vision of the product from start to completion and keep the development team focused on the final product
  • Own and manage the product backlog and prioritise tasks for the development team in line with the product roadmap
  • Contribute to the planning, execution, and review of each sprint
  • Evaluate product development progress and the final product to ensure it aligns with the vision of the product

KEY EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in capturing requirements from internal and external stakeholders to create products aligned with those requirements
  • Experience in creating and managing product roadmaps
  • Experience managing backlogs and set priorities to drive product development
  • Experience with estimation of work and resource allocation
  • Experience from developing products and features in a collaborative start-up environment
  • Strong understanding of market trends and the inquisitive mindset required to understand customer needs and capture relevant requirements
  • Good technical knowledge combined with the ability to understand business requirements and how products and features can add value to the world of our customers
  • Strong knowledge of Agile framework and Scrum methodology
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and inspire small teams to establish a collaborative culture with a clear objective
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A university degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or similar field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience as a Product Owner or extensive experience as a Business Analyst working with product development in an Agile practice
