As Visual Designer you are responsible for producing compelling designs which motivate frontline employees, managers, and execs to be passionate about raising operational standards in their workplace, or to find value in our suite of products. You will be design obsessed and act as a brand champion, ensuring all design work that is delivered, is consistent and high quality. You will create best-in-class, industry-leading designs for the marketing team which accurately reflect brand messaging and support teams including: brand, acquisition, lifecycle marketing, product marketing and more.

This is a 14 month MTC covering parental leave.

About you

  • Ability to work across multiple channels and within established design frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management e.g. hitting timelines, managing expectations, providing regular updates, managing workload
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly (illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop,) Figma or Sketch, Google Slides
  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS will be highly regarded
  • Experience in a fast paced agency or startup environment (Desirable)
  • How you will spend your time

  • Create best-in-class, industry-leading designs for the marketing team which accurately reflect brand messaging. Supporting:
  • - Brand projects e.g. social designs, e-books
  • - Acquisition projects e.g. Landing pages pitch decks, digital advertising banners, ad hoc information collateral
  • - Lifecycle Marketing projects e.g. EDMs 
  • - Product Marketing projects e.g. product one-pagers and presentation docs
  • Act as a Brand Guardian and coach the Marketing team on visual guidelines to help them to consistently reflect Vis ID within their executions. 
  • Build processes that ensure all designs delivered are consistent and high-quality.Exercise high-quality stakeholder management e.g. hitting timelines, providing regular updates etc.
  • Work closely with stakeholders during the briefing stage to ensure needs and requirements are understood and limitations are flagged upfront.
  • Act as the guardian of our Brand Portal and make it a “go-to” site/asset for staff
  • - Ensure all assets on our Brand Portal are on-brand, relevant and accurate
  • - Ensure the site contains all necessary assets required by a wide variety of staff
  • - Drive forward site improvements (e.g. usability)
  • - Share relevant Brand Portal communications to the company to drive usage
  • - Measure the Brand Portal’s effectiveness and drive forward adjustments to enhance results
  • - Measure the effectiveness and tangible impacts of design, share learnings with relevant stakeholders and re-apply as relevant. 
  • Actively encourage and drive alignment between Brand and Product design. 
  • Research trends and, design best practices and apply as relevant to improve SafetyCulture designs.
  • Accurately forecast (within reason) upcoming design work and implement systems/processes to support effective workflow. 
  • Understand and respond to team feedback with accuracy and openness.
