Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.

Atlassian’s Commerce team is currently building a flexible platform that allows the easy launch of new monetization models, integration of new products and services, and of course, providing our customers with a frictionless buying experience.

Information is a powerful and essential element of user experiences. If that statement makes your eyes light up, you might be who we're looking for.

Content Designers at Atlassian look at the way we communicate with our customers as an end-to-end journey. We consider content to be a powerful and essential part of that journey. Our content experts work collaboratively across Atlassian to champion our design language, tell consistent stories and craft great customer experiences.
More about you

You’re passionate about building end-to-end content experiences – right from crafting UX strings that perfectly complement pixels to authoring effective Help content. While explaining complex product features within limited screen real estate, you make every word contribute towards communicating value in a compelling and clear manner.
You’re a thorough team player who understands that building great software products is all about teamwork. Beyond building impactful content experiences, you help drive projects that benefit the broader design & content design communities here at Atlassian.

Our ideal candidate has prior experience working as a content designer, content strategist, or UX writer within a design team. Candidates having experience in technical communication or content marketing, and willing to expand their horizons, are welcome to apply.

When you join the team, you'd be expected to have:

  • great UX authoring skills
  • a love for both technical and user content
  • experience working with software development teams, designers, and product managers
  • great stakeholder management skills
  • a penchant for measuring the impact of content through data and analytics
  • a proven track record of working on and managing content projects in an agile, fast paced environment
  • And ideally, we'd hope you'd have:

  • experience working as part of a design team in a product development environment
  • experience working on cross-product workflows
  • experience interfacing with cross-functional teams, such as software development and product management
  • a knack for creatively engaging with audiences
  • a knack for problem solving, especially around building information architecture and content strategy for UX content projects
  • an ability to challenge yourself and others
  • Bonus points if you have experience working with project management or service desk documentation.
  • More about our team

You won't own all the content, but you'll help make sure the stories we tell are consistent and create a great experience for our customers.
