We are on a mission to disrupt the gaming industry and to build the future of play-and-earn! Every year players are spending billions of dollars on digital items that they don’t actually own. We see this as a massive opportunity for disruption by introducing NFT games which are play-and-earn, where someone can play a game for fun while also earning digital assets.
The journey still needs some work. Currently, transactions take minutes or hours to confirm, and Ethereum can process fewer than 5 NFTs per second for the whole world combined.
To solve this problem, we have created a first-of-its-kind exchange, Immutable X. This is the first layer-2 scaling solution for NFTs on Ethereum, with instant trade confirmation, massive scalability, and zero gas fees without compromising user custody.
About the role:
Currently, Immutable’s product is in high demand from some of the largest companies in the world. We are scaling our engineering team to help us deliver a world-class product to these customers. As part of that effort, we are seeking Engineering Leads with a proven track record of leading high performing and engaged engineering teams which deliver fantastic products for our users.
As an Engineering Lead you will work with a diverse and passionate team focused on taking our flagship game asset exchange "Immutable X" to as many players and gamers as possible. You'll help them build innovative growth features and incentive schemes to maximise this expansion. You'll have a lot of flexibility in terms of tools, technology and architecture. You will also have the opportunity to coach, mentor and support a team of engineers while also driving technical design decisions.

Proven success in leading and mentoring a high-performance team in a product/SaaS businessThe ability to work comfortably across a range of technologies and are flexible to adapt to the shifting demands of the rolePreviously worked in an environment with high-load Restful APIs and event-driven architecturesExcellent knowledge of software engineering best practices such as Clean Code / SOLID principlesPassion for solving complex business problems with a balance of technology and people.Ability to articulate a long-term technical vision/mission and define the path for how we get there
