As a Customer Control and Assurance Officer you will be responsible for maintaining and developing an existing register of controls and assurances which ensures the Customer team meets its compliance obligations and mitigates risks. You will work alongside the Risk, Quality and Compliance team and stakeholders to analyse and report on effectiveness of current controls and work on improvement opportunities in process improvement projects.

Main Duties:

  • Take ownership of the Customer Control Register within the Customer team (Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, Partnerships)
  • Perform a range of control related checks testing across a range of teams within Customer including Customer Support, Sales and Admin teams to ensure compliance obligations are being met and risks mitigated
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in the control space and stakeholder communication.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring an appropriate level of risk and compliance support
  • Assist the business in adhering to Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) that enable effective monitoring of risks and early identification of potential issues
  • Produce basic reports and draw conclusions from existing reports to make suggestions & recommendations
  • Supporting Risk, Compliance and Quality lead in logging issues and incidents and ensuring action is taken on open incidents
  • Support Tyro's value of 'Wowing the Customer' by identifying new opportunities to improve operational excellence, productivity, business processes and service delivery, in conjunction with internal stakeholders
  • Drive risk management culture through the Customer team
  • Experience/Skills:

  • REQUIRED 2+ years in Contact Centres or Sales environments in financial services, preferably in Retail Banking
  • Preferable 1+ years experience Risk and Compliance in financial services
  • Preferable 1+ control testing experience
