About the role

The Content Writer role at Lumary plays an integral role in helping the business create content that builds and educates current and prospective customers. Through the writing and organising of content across a wide range of channels, the Content Writer will ensure that Lumary develops ongoing content that is relevant to different channels, is on brand and delivers key messaging.  Working closely with the Brand Communications Director, as well as the Marketing and Content leads, the Content Writer is responsible for the production of content in line with the Lumary Messaging and tone of voice documentation. This is to ensure that all content is in line with the brand strategy and ultimately amplifies messaging to our customers in line with the Lumary mission and vision.

A day in the life

  • Content creation – including blogs, press releases, customer communications, social media posts, scripts, whitepapers and more
  • Researching content ideas to inform strong content angles, as well as content that is strong, and factually true
  • Write clear marketing copy in order to promote our brand and products/services
  • Create content that is relevant, engaging and easy to understand
  • Proofread draft, digital and print artwork before publication
  • Generate new ideas for different content types, in accordance with Lumary’s tone of voice, brand persona’s and communication style guide
  • Keep your creative wits about you while avoiding the legal pitfalls and regulatory bear traps that are inherent to writing in the healthcare space
  • Work with the Brand Comms Team to develop and maintain Lumary’s tone of voice and writing style guide
  • Pay obsessive attention to narrative consistency, voice & tone, as well as the accuracy of the content
  • Ensure all writing and approval processes are strictly adhered to in order to maintain a high level of communication standards
  • Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders to deliver factual, engaging content that supports product development and brand adoption
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages positive morale and high performance
  • About you

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, working across a range of projects or brands
  • Bachelor Degree in Journalism or Communication or equivalent
  • Confident with copywriting, reviewing copy, and editing copy where necessary.
  • High attention to detail, ability to spot errors and fix fast.
  • Ability to follow processes and guidelines, while also finding ways to optimise and make processes more efficient.
  • Experience working with and managing the blog creation process throughout the entire lifecycle, including conception, coordination of copywriters, publication and syndication.
  • Experience working with content calendars, sourcing content ideas, briefing concepts and executing.
