About the Role....

We are well on our way to delivering the better financial and payment products Australian business deserves and we are looking for Business Analysts to drive our delivery of the next generation of Zeller products and services. 

As Technical Business Analyst, you will be working as the bridge between the business, our external and internal technical partners and subject matter experts to define scope, requirements and deliverables to ensure that we deliver our ambition.  

The role will be focussed on core infrastructure required for innovative products and customer experience. You will be involved in multiple work streams providing you with an unparalleled opportunity to understand modern banking and financial services business and technical architecture. If you have experience in these fields, be prepared to challenge the status quo. 

You will enjoy the fun of rolling out a product capability from scratch, building to best practices, and cutting edge technology, not limited to incumbent systems. 

Roles Responsibilities and Past Experience

  • A core competency in converting business requirements into disaggregated processes, procedures and steps that allow for technical teams to implement solutions;
  • A core competency in utilising tools and techniques such as flow charting and UML to document ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ states;
  • The ability to rapidly expedite documentation and getting the balance right between detail and speed;
  • Experience in capturing data and system flows in complex technical info-structures; you are familiar with concepts such as event-streaming and Data BI;
  • Have led workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders to accurately capture process maps and requirements;
  • Have an eye for detail and are able to ‘drill-in’ to minutia but are able to synthesise information;
  • Have effective knowledge of computer software engineering practices including development lifecycles;
  • Disaggregate business and technology problems into solvable sprints of work/project scope;
  • Can effectively prioritise work to drive outcomes;
  • Experience with project management software is a must - we use Jira;
  • Experience working in Agile teams and delivery processes.
  • Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years as a BA or project manager in banking or consulting - management consultants with projects and programme portfolio experience are well regarded, along with experience in financial services.;
  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree.
