Who we are looking for
We are seeking a Senior level Manager of Recruiting to manage a small team in Melbourne and India. Join our rapidly scaling organization and lead the recruiting team that supports our Udemy For Business enterprise organization in APAC. This role will report to the International Head of Recruiting who sits in Dublin.  Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, who works well autonomously and collaboratively and can bring a perspective of APAC-specific thought leadership to help build out our global recruiting approach. There will also be day-to-day recruiting activities and working with various hiring managers throughout Australia, India, and the US.

You will

  • Serve as the head of recruiting in our APAC headquarters (Melbourne) and lead the recruiting team dedicated to our growing our enterprise business
  • Help to craft and implement an overall strategic recruiting  plan through the lens of an APAC specific approach that builds organizational depth and strength to address current and future talent objectives  
  • Facilitate a fair and unbiased recruiting process through collaboration with the recruiting team and business leaders with a focus on ways to increase diversity in our talent pipeline 
  • Create and execute strong proactive sourcing strategies and campaigns to increase time to fill outcomes with an engaged talent pool 
  • Manage the recruitment of a high requisition load across multiple countries
  • Help to architect and execute an Employer Branding plan that considers an APAC-specific approach and partners and aligns with the overall communications strategy of the company.
  • Collaborate with People teams, Legal teams, and Finance teams to ensure recruiting objectives are moved forward at the pace necessary to respond to the quickly changing business needs Develop and lead with a data-driven mindset leveraging comprehensive recruiting metrics and predictive analytics to drive operational rigor.
  • Continually conduct market analysis regarding recruiting best practices, competitors, talent pools/insights, and market changes
  • Build recruiter capability (business acumen, partnering & influencing skills) and create a strong sense of global team unity and engagement look for partnership opportunities to drive diversity recruiting initiatives, act on process improvement opportunities, and enhance employee referral channels.
  • Ensure Candidate Experience is seen as fundamental and paramount in our approach and look for ways to enhance that and train stakeholders.
  • You have

  • 10 years recruiting experience, across marketing, sales, and engineering 
  • 3+ years people management /leadership experience; preferably in APAC
  • Initiated and implemented geographically relevant recruiting programs while articulating their value to key stakeholders in both APAC markets and HQ such as in EMEA or the Americas.
  • Subject matter expertise in current trends, innovations, and best practices in global talent acquisition including experience with and can anticipate geo marketplace changes to proactively address talent pipeline needs.
  • Demonstrated experience with pipelining talent along with an in-depth knowledge of creative sourcing techniques to build a bench of quality, diverse talent.
  • Gathered, analyzed, and utilized metrics to drive the process, drive performance, and then evaluate ROI   
  • A passion for  building our brand and establishing new processes that challenge traditional methods of recruiting 
  • Solid technical acumen with a thorough understanding of various talent acquisition tools and systems, we use Lever and Top funnel
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively negotiate 
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • What success looks like
    In the first month, you will learn about the Udemy systems that we use to recruit (such as Lever and Top Funnel), processes of Udemy Recruiting. Establish relationships with the hiring leaders.  Learn about the open roles. Complete the Udemy onboarding path.  Actively manage open requisitions.

    You will be reporting to the Director of International Recruiting, Pauline McCullagh based in Dublin, Ireland who will be starting with our team in July.
