About the opportunity

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in owning the financial reporting, ensuring smooth and timely month end close procedures and coordinating the completion of statutory obligations. You have strong commercial acumen, a solutions orientated mindset and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll do

  • Own the month-end financial reporting process - including production of P&L, Balance Sheet, associated reconciliations and analysis of monthly performance
  • Assist with completion of Year End Financial Statement preparation and associated reporting obligations including annual income tax return
  • Liaison with external bookkeepers, assistance with AP queries, BAS & FBT preparation/review
  • Establish, improve and maintain internal control processes across the financial accounting function
  • Work on ad-hoc projects alongside the wider finance team, including ideations for process improvements and new initiatives

About you

  • CA / CPA qualified with post qualification experience in a similar role
  • A good understanding of business process and internal controls related to accounting, finance and wider business practices
  • Advanced Excel and data reconciliation skills, financial modelling experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience in process improvements and or system implementation
