At Xero, we believe that diversity and inclusion (D&I) enables our business to better understand and serve customers, attract and develop top talent and innovate successfully. This is an exciting opportunity to join the People Experience (PX) team at Xero to lead our global ‘centre of excellence’ for D&I. We’ve come a long way on our D&I journey since this role was first established in 2017 and we’re looking for our next D&I leader to help us keep building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive Xero.
You will spearhead the ongoing successful implementation of our diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategy. You’ll work closely with PX colleagues and leaders across our global business to embed a leader-owned approach to D&I and integrate D&I throughout all aspects of our organisation. This role will take a front seat in terms of metric-driven diversity and inclusion initiatives across Xero globally.
What you’ll bring...
The successful candidate will have experience leading a D&I function in a listed organisation. Ideally this would be in a high-growth tech company and/or a large complex global organisation. This experience will be underpinned with a strong track record of designing and delivering D&I strategies and programs that support measurable objectives (targets) for diversity.
With a reputation as a thought leader in the field you will possess a deep knowledge of best practices in D&I and be highly conscious of all aspects of diversity issues with a keen awareness of social power dynamics and ways to shift systemic inequities. Your ability to influence and build relationships at all levels to drive organisational change will be achieved through your passion for helping people fulfill their potential and your skilfulness in facilitating meaningful and difficult conversations.
You will be commercial in your orientation with a data driven mindset and a demonstrated ability to leverage data and metrics to ensure the effective implementation and measurement of D&I programs.
