Recently listed on the ASX, we’ve created over $1.1billion in job opportunities since we started, and are looking for an exceptional VP of Brand to lead our Brand & PR teams as we solidify our position as the number 1 marketplace for local services in Australia and rapidly increase traction in markets overseas such as the US and the UK.

The Role:

  • Lead the development and refinement of Airtasker’s brand and communication/PR strategy by building on on our differentiating strengths and fostering emotional connections with our customers to maximise Airtasker’s brand equity 
  • Use market, customer, and brand research to develop and deliver innovative campaigns to meet our ambitious growth targets
  • Establish positioning, identify target audience, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Own brand positioning and messaging - driving awareness, consideration and relevancy while creating a connected experience for our customers
  • Cultivate new opportunities such as our Tasker community across social channels
  • Develop and expand the integrated marketing function within the marketing team and drive innovation across our tactics, channels and partnerships
  • Aligning creative and media plans to maximise return on investment and being the owner for agency relationships 
  • Implement measurement tools to assess the impact of communications and brand programs using sources such as ad tracking and brand health
  • Hire, train and manage a high performing brand and communications team
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of brand and crisis communication
  • Extensive knowledge of various marketing channels and the marketing distribution landscape (ad types, platforms, etc)
  • In-depth knowledge of how to use user generated content (UGC) and user engagement in marketing activity
  • Ability to build strong brand value propositions to meet growth, profitability and business goals
  • Analytical skills to establish metrics for the purpose of measuring campaign effectiveness against company objectives and formulating insights on ROI
  • Leadership skills to foster a high performance culture among a team of brand and PR marketers
  • Strong communication skills to bring leadership on the journey of brand activity
  • Strong creative skills to deliver world class content unique to the Airtasker marketplace
  • Future focused mindset to bring the Airtasker brand forward globally
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations with a degree of brand sensitivity risk
