As we rapidly scale an opportunity has arisen for a Head of Design to lead our Design function and help teams create beautiful, engaging design that delights our customers at every moment. You will be quality obsessed and be passionate to drive your teams to do the very same. It's all about the customer experience.
As Head of Design, you will be in charge of setting the design vision, strategy, workflow and team structure to achieve world-class design status for SafetyCulture. You will also work to enable streamlined collaboration among our designers and our product, marketing, and engineering teams at scale.
What will I be doing?
Lead SafetyCulture's entire product and marketing design functions,<building a fit for purpose team structure and ways of working to meet stakeholder needs> collaborating with stakeholders around the company to understand the needs of their teams and establishing a team structure and end-to-end workflow designed to best serve those needs.Build processes that ensure all designs delivered are consistent and have high quality.Understand the company goals and help your team make impactful decisions that drive these.Lead and mentor designers on your team, building a collaborative and positive environment within a quickly expanding team.Accurately forecast the needs of the teams and hire accordingly.Be bold and bring action. Push your team to take smart risks and take an iterative approach to design.Develop and maintain design competencies frameworks that help coach and lead designers in their career growth.Create best-in-class, industry-leading design systems across product teams that position SafetyCulture as a leader of great design.Work with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to develop simple yet impactful processes that help drive consistent and elegant designs.
What do I need to Bring?
You must have an exceptional ability to empower and manage teams of designers.8+ years of experience as a leader who can manage both brand and product design. Experience working in larger teams with high levels of interdependency and complexity.Proven experience building and maintaining design systems and streamlined UI/UX workflows with QA feedback systems.Ability to create and work towards an overall design vision that meets and enhances business goals across the company.Strong communication skills with the ability to act on the best ideas and push hard for your beliefs with integrity and respect.You must be able to flex and be an individual contributor to thrive at SafetyCulture.
