About The Position
  • You’ll be part of a team that builds Brosa’s Operational Technologies; the systems that power our company’s day-to-day operations & contribute to our competitive advantages in our industry.
  • You will work closely with and report to the Lead Software Engineer.
  • By being at the ground floor of a rapidly expanding company, you will have a lot of opportunities to expand your horizons and learn new skills.
  • We think the ideal candidate is likely to have 3-10 years of experience, but don't let that stop you if you have more years under your belt and you're still interested.
  • This is a full time permanent role.
  • You are expected to have at least 4 hr of overlap time with AEST timezone.

Location & Timezone

We’re looking for a someone who is happy to overlap at least 4 hours of his or her working time with our Head Offices’s timezone in Melbourne (AEST).

Requirements

  • You have diverse development experience including backend and frontend technologies.
  • You have proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js.
  • You have experience working with AWS infrastructure.
  • You have experience working with MySql, Redis, NPS and Webpack.
  • You are comfortable working in a small team environment, can take ownership of your projects, and can effectively communicate and advocate your ideas.
  • As part of a small team, you are willing to take on tasks that may be outside of your comfort zone.
  • You are eager to learn new skills, not afraid to fail and recover quickly.
  • You can communicate technical issues with both technical and non-technical teammates.
  • You are comfortable debugging, fixing, improving, and QA’ing software that you may not have built.
  • You are comfortable with version controlling your code and collaborating with others.

What success looks like

In the first month of the job, we will help onboard you and familiarize you with our processes, team & systems. You will have the opportunity to sit with team members and learn how to partner cross-functionally.

Within the next 2-3 months, you will continue to grow and start adding direct value to our Operational Technologies and Systems that power our business.
