We are looking for an R&D Test Engineer to bring an exceptional level of quality and rigor to our qualification processes, by creating the necessary separation of perspective from designer to user, a recognised necessity of high-functioning design teams. The role will also involve performing field application engineering for customers as required, including working directly with customers to configure, test and optimise the performance of Advanced Navigation products.
Design and execute product test regimes adhering to rigorous industry standards (as identified by customer and regulatory research)Work closely with the Product Team to ensure appropriate and complete test coverageGenerate succinct feedback, bug fixes and R&D support outputs to multiple stakeholders Contribute and guide UI design discussions with care in addressing UX issuesCollaborate with stakeholders and product managers in establishing standards of quality and resolution of features and defects.
Essential Skills & Experience
Be degree qualified in an engineering disciplineHave 3+ years of engineering experience Have experience with all stages of the product development cycle, concept development, R&D, design and planningUnderstand the release process for production quality softwareExperience with Subsea or marine survey products in field and lab environmentsExcellent communication and written English skillsStrong analytical skillsExperience standard testing regimes and ethosExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent Time managementStrong attention to detailAn ability to work independently and collaboratively with hardware/embedded software teams to deliver results in demanding, deadline-driven situations
Desirable Skills & Experience
Marine survey or subsea instrumentation product experienceFamiliarity around vesselsHave previously been involved with a team that delivered a product to marketExperience in Navigation or Subsea robotics The ability to work with customers directly on site to configure, troubleshoot, optimise and functionally integrate AN systems.
