As a Senior Product Manager, you'll be responsible for the value and viability of the customer activation journeys in Matrak products. Your "thing" will be the creation and iteration of the product vision and roadmap, ensuring the efforts of the team remain aligned with our strategic and operational goals (the "North Star" ⭐️).

As part of a small (but awesome) cross-functional team, you'll be busy:

  • Leading product discovery, backlog refinement and prioritisation of work, capabilities and resources within the team
  • Advocating for the adoption and improvement of Lean and Agile principles (there's always room for improvement!)
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs and inform a data-driven approach to decision making and prioritisation of work.
  • Defining the approach, scope and acceptance criteria of all work
  • Conducting business reviews, ensuring team output satisfies acceptance criteria
  • Acting as a customer advocate to ensure alignment between customer experiences and product development/future states for product

We're looking for someone with:

  • 5y+ experience managing products, ideally in B2B SaaS environments
  • A strong understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies
  • Startup experience - is advantageous but not required

These are the "soft skills" that we expect of everyone at Matrak:

  • Common sense
  • Intellectual honesty - this looks like:
    • Looking at challenges as opportunities
    • Being willing to acknowledge and question your own assumptions and biases
    • Experimenting, learning and iterating
    • Seeing more value in learning than in being right
  • Passion - whether you're passionate about an aspect of your work, or can talk for hours about why a hotdog is a burger and not a sandwich, this one's a non-negotiable

What’s in it for you:

For a startup, we offer a competitive salary package including share options and real opportunities for career progression. We offer flexible working arrangements, and encourage people returning to work to apply; our hiring decisions are based on the principles of merit and fairness, not your background, identity, gender or any other factor that isn’t related to your ability to do the job. In terms of leave and other benefits, we offer Birthday, Cultural + Ceremonial Leave, public holiday substitution, paid parental leave and a bunch of other common sense perks.

Our values:

We're passionate about creating an environment where everyone can bring their whole self to work. Our core values guide our culture, so if you can embrace Courage, Owning It, Honesty, Fun, Equality and Empathy, you'll fit right in.

⭐️ Please note: applications via our careers page are preferred ⭐️
