About the role:
The Product Strategy & Operations Analyst - Global Products will provide insight through strategic analysis of the market and competitors to the product teams to help shape and drive global product roadmaps and product market requirements. This will help support Xero's ambitious commercial growth aspiration and strategic plan globally.
What you'll do:
Work closely with portfolio aligned Product Strategy Directors on a project basis to develop clear product strategies alongside Product Managers, GMs and EGMs, setting and aligning the product vision and planHelp structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to help develop recommendations on a wide range of business issuesDevelop rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendationsAssist with the development and coordination of annual and quarterly business planning, objective setting (using OKRs), performance measurement and monthly team workshops. Lead reporting and resources on competitor information for teams across Xero to consume, including comparison of product offerings, competitive environment and product strategies across major market players Identifying and analysing new market trends, technologies and new competitors to the market and provide insights to the teamsWork collaboratively across a variety of groups and operating companies, pushing work forward and gaining buy-in internallyWork with Product Managers, Product GMs and Product EGMs to ensure initiatives align to strategyAssist with analysis on potential acquisitions to determine suitability and growth opportunities where appropriate
What you'll bring with you:
Strong understanding of technology products and the product development processWorking in highly cross functional teamsSimultaneously managing multiple internal and external initiatives/projectsWorking in Agile and fast paced product development environmentsUnderstanding of Tech / SaaS company from both product and cost perspectiveIdeally with 2-3 years experience in business and/or product strategyExperience in a top tier consulting company also highly desirable Tenacious and resourceful problem solver with deep analytical skills.Strong business acumen and the ability to synthesise and analyse data to identify trends and marketing opportunities.An innovative and positive team player with a “can do” attitude.Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.Able to work closely with technical and non-technical users in parallel
