Zero Co is Australia’s fastest growing and most ambitious zero waste startup. We’re on a mission to solve the global single-use plastic problem. It’s a big, crazy audacious goal.

In 2019 we pulled off Australia’s most funded Kickstarter generating $742,427 in pre-orders from almost 7,000 Aussie households, giving us the initial cash required to get our idea off the ground. Our pre-orders ramped to $1.4M+ before we officially launched in Nov 2020.

About your role

We’re looking for a super-passionate go-getter to join our rapidly growing startup in the role of Marketing Alchemist.

Your job will be incredibly diverse and multifaceted. You’ll be flawlessly executing diverse marketing campaigns across multiple communications channels including social, email, blogs etc. You’ll be liaising with all of our partnerships & collabs including influencers and brands. You’ll have input into creative, campaigns and produce content for social (video + imagery). 

You’ll be helping to coordinate super cool ocean clean up events and wake up every day knowing you’re helping to solve the global single-use plastic problem.

Your Responsibilities: 

• EXECUTION MASTER: meticulously execute our campaigns across all our communications channels including email, social media, website & landing pages.
• CONTENT ORIGINATOR: contribute to creative ideas, develop fun and interesting content for social media & YouTube (video & images).
• EVENT COORDINATOR: pull together ocean clean-ups, epic crazy stunts and customer interactions.
• WRANGLE PARTNERS: pitch, negotiate and coordinate influencers, vloggers, brand & media partnerships.
• TECH ROLL-OUT SUPPORT: assist implementation of new software and website improvements.
• SPECIAL PROJECTS: Identify or lead ad hoc projects, help the customer service team where required, learn new software and relentlessly innovate.
• ALWAYS LEARNING: know our customers intimately, create copy & offers that they’ll love and that’s going to inspire, motivate and convert them.

Minimum Experience & Requirements:

1. 2+ years of marketing experience (preferably in an e-commerce business).
2. Ability to build top notch relationships.
3. Excellent communications skills (written & verbal).
4. Degree in marketing or similar.
5. Ideal but not essential: knowledge of video editing software, Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Hubspot, Shopify.
