Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Do you want to be part of an incredible company and know that you’re making a difference every single day? Are you passionate about education and international development, eager to identify new opportunities and bring creative ideas to the table, and excited to contribute to the growth of both programs and people? Our team has set big goals to see change within our lifetime. We can’t do it without you!

Working between the three functional teams of the Foundation (fondly named our Educate, Enlist and Energise teams), you are the kind of person who can solve problems before anyone knows they exist. You have a strong drive to learn about what's going on and independently asking why in order to exercise appropriate prioritisation and judgment with daily activities.

The Atlassian Foundation is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Foundation leadership team. In this role you’ll provide proactive administrative support to four individuals - Head of Foundation (HoF) and three Directors - in varied global timezones with internal/external commitments (these are your primary responsibilities - some days are more administratively focused than others)

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Serve as HoF and each Director’s main point of contact to those outside of the organisation
  • Taking initiative to bring things "from the back burner to the front burner" for leadership
  • Manage each Foundation leader’s inbox, prioritising the most important emails and actions
  • Coordinate scheduling (and oftentimes re-scheduling) of external/internal meetings and events with an understanding of team priorities, proactively managing sophisticated calendars
  • Provide general administrative support for meetings, including note-taking, supervising the completion of action items and key deliverables, and follow-up on outstanding items
  • When travel recommences, booking and travel management of all Foundation leaders, including booking all travel and hotels, directions, commuting time and ground transportation
  • Assist with various projects, including off-sites and presentations.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key operational partners, both internally and externally
  • Act as a trusted partner and trusted advisor to Foundation leaders
  • On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Experience specifically in administrative, coordinator, or logistics roles
  • Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, coachable attitude, and commitment to high standards
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with an aptitude for crafting a warm team culture and community by demonstrating patience under pressure
  • An entrepreneurial drive, with a growth- and consultative approach, comfortable in ambiguity and excited about innovation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including limited evenings and weekends as needed for organisational requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal skills
  • We'd love you to have:

  • High "Get Stuff Done" attitude and track record
  • Remote-working experience/proven track record to work independently, as well as in a team, demonstrating ownership and self-sufficiency for admin projects
  • The ability to wear many hats at one time
  • Intermediate to strong experience in using Atlassian products
  • The ability to build a good network within Atlassian (especially Atlassian Finance, HR, Legal, Senior Executive Assistants, etc.)
  • Most importantly, you are passionate about making a difference and driving the implementation of the Foundation vision and strategy.

    More about our Team:
The Atlassian Foundation has sixteen members from all over the world – Australia, USA, India and Philippines.
We believe we have a responsibility to tackle disadvantage both locally (the communities where we work) and globally. We also believe in the transformational power of both education and business as forces for good. Our strategy has three pillars:

Our focus on education exists to help ensure young people (up to age 24) from low-income communities have the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century

We bring out the best of business, by building the Pledge 1% movement.

We create energy and reduce friction, so that every Atlassian can make the biggest difference in their local communities. To do this, we empower each Atlassian with five days per year of Foundation Time to volunteer and make an impact.
