About the opportunity:

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Copywriter / Content specialist to join our Australian team.

You will be responsible for the delivery of brand and consumer marketing at Openpay, overseeing the content strategy as well as leading the Digital Marketing and Social media activities for the region. You will lead the running of Openpay’s communication channels executing annual brand and omni-channel marketing campaigns across eDM, social, in-app and website.

You will be the driver of all things brand marketing and will work closely with the Head of Marketing to champion the portfolio management of our customers and subsequent communication channels with a focus on brand building and driving consumer growth in ANZ.

You will support on driving the best positioning of the Openpay product in the market and ensuring communications are clear, creative and effective across all our touchpoints.

The ideal applicant will be organised, detail oriented, solution-driven and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You must be a self-starter who can initiate new ideas, build relationships, take ownership, and operate independently.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Plan and implement the Openpay social media and eDM calendars and report on the results.
  • Create engaging social media content, both yourself and in collaboration with internal designer / Marketing Coordinator.
  • You will be the tone of voice of the brand, mastering our story and helping us educate through thought leadership and simply great copywriting.
  • Develop & implement marketing, brand and product plans in Australia to grow B2C awareness and utilisation.
  • Manage the relationship with the Digital Performance and creative agencies.
  • Ensure the brand DNA is understood and implemented by the marketing team and wider business.
  • Own the brand guidelines to guarantee the brand identity, ensuring that all actions are in line with the sense of purpose while nourishing the brand.
  • Examples of the types of content you will write copy for include: social media posts, digital ads, weekly trade eDM headers, email journeys, brochures, whitepapers, blog articles & landing page copy.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Past experience (4yrs+) in a Digital Content / Copywriting or similar Marketing role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, or relevant field preferred.
  • You are a natural storyteller and know how to design campaigns that attract and retain customers
  • You have deep empathy for customers and users to be able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions in a creative context.
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing and social strategy, planning, implementation, management and reporting.
  • Tech-savvy, no need to be a guru but you must be highly proficient
