How it began? 
The first line of code for what would become the Qsic platform was written in our first office in 2014. Our founders, Matthew Elsley and Nick Larkins had spent a little over a decade, working hard to install home audio systems. Combining their passion for music, audio technology and point of sale systems, Qsic was born.

Both founders simply knew there had to be a better music streaming solution for businesses.

How it’s going?
So, they set out to build Australia’s pioneering commercial music streaming platform. With the aim of creating a tool that provides an analytical approach to music curation by using next-generation of learning to boost customer mood, actions and sales.

In 2018, Qsic became the largest private radio station with over 12 million tracks (and counting) in their commercial musical collection. Qsic works with thousands of retail stores across Australia and the US - and leading brands such as McDonalds, 7-Eleven and MECCA to name a few.

Where it’s going?
But this was just the beginning. Now we are on a mission to connect everything and create magical, seamless instore experiences. Today, we are building the world’s first platform for fully-automated retail environments using AI-driven experimentation and applied learning at scale. And in doing so, unlocking unimaginable instore potential for our clients and their customers.

As an Key Account Manager you will (do some much more than what is below, but as a starter):

  • Own and love our customers, including working with leading Australian retailers in Quick Service Restaurants, Petrol & Convenience, Fashion, Grocery & Liquor and Hospitality to ensure they are leveraging our platform and having a great customer experience
  • Own key account touchpoints with the customer in partnership with our amazing Curation  and Technical Support teams
  • Understand Enterprise clients needs and work to maximise our offering to meet their needs
  • Identify and cross-sell additional product offering(s) to existing customers
  • Own the upsell to a different or customised package to existing customers
  • Grow and nurture our client pipeline and handle incoming sales enquiries
  • Help identify feature and product opportunities from customer feedback and work with our product team to scope and commercialise
  • Live and breathe our values alongside us 
  • Be proactive, scrappy, fast paced and able to juggle many balls - we are a startup!
  • To demonstrate that you are the right person for the role, you will have:

  • A track record of retaining and expanding existing customer base 
  • A knack for finding new opportunities within your existing client base
  • Experience working with a variety of different sizes of companies with varied challenges and territories
  • A customer centric approach that knows how to combine customer needs with product offerings with storytelling
  • Proven track record in account management / sales
  • Confidence in navigating challenging conversations with Enterprise customers
  • A passion for Australian bricks and mortar retailers and good knowledge of our client and potential client base
  • Advantageous, a book of enterprise customers in our space ;)
  • Category creating, not buttoned up.
