About the role 

As a User Experience  / Product Designer  you’ll play a pivotal role within the Product Team and will work closely with the Director of Product as well as the rest of the Development Team to support prioritisation and design of solutions that maximise outcomes for Lumary clients and users. As a user advocate, you will seek to understand the needs of our users and consumers and learn how they use Lumary's products. 

A day in the life

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide data driven insights derived from qualitative and quantitative user research 
  • Design software with concern for states, visual hierarchy, dynamic data and technical limitations and constraints. 
  • Define, extend and maintain personas, interaction models, customer journey maps and user flows
  • Seek out existing users and facilitate research workshops, user interviews/testing sessions and prototype demonstrations across the team in relation to current and future features
  • Identify usage patterns of users through tools like surveys, log analysis, task analysis, field observation, etc. and identify user needs
  • Document suggestions and requirements for improving existing features and evaluating their effectiveness
  • Present the findings to the product teams for early and regular consideration, with the view being to have many cycles of iteration.
  • Develop and maintain solution wireframes, user stories and acceptance criteria from initial research through to testing cycles
  • Illustrate software usage using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how digital products function with accounts for states
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images
  • About you

  • Strong understanding of platform specific usage patterns
  • Familiarity with Human Interfaces Guidelines and Material Design
  • Ensure that information, products, and services are provided in a non-discriminatory and accessible manner.
  • Comfort working with both technical and non-technical teams
  • An ability to close the gap between user and development needs
  • Experience in working for a B2B SAAS product environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with Salesforce 
  • Strong interface design skills
  • Mobile application design experience
