Currently, our employees are predominately working from home and this role will also be remote for the time being. We anticipate employees will be returning to the office, in a flexible capacity, during 2021 as appropriate & when it is safe to do so.

Now poised for our next phase of growth, we are hiring a critical new Technical Product Manager who will be responsible to lead our platform development and API strategy. You will be able to make a significant impact on the success of Deputy & our partner network.

We have the potential and ambition to capture the partner market by providing best in class developer experience for our integrations as well as modernising our technology stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES: "THE WHAT"

  • You will have true end-to-end ownership of the Platform & API capabilities 
  • The Product Manager is the CEO of their product and is responsible for the strategy, roadmap and feature definition, and for engaging and communicating with the organisation and customers about the product, product roadmap and vision
  • Balance customer, engineering (tech) and commercial requirements at time competing priorities
  • Be the central point where all the insights (sales, customer, tech) come together and are translated into a product strategy and feature roadmap
  • Coordinate your dedicated team's product releases & communication with the rest of the business and our developer community
  • COMPETENCIES: “THE HOW”

  • You have 3+ years of Technical or API or Platform Product Manager experience building APIs or Core Platform capabilities.
  • Technical acumen. Ability to converse deeply with engineers and technical executives. You have written code before, and in a pinch can create a sample sandbox, non-production app.
  • Experience in a fast growing scale-up environment, with a bias to innovation and growth. Bonus points for a multi-tenant SaaS org.
  • Strong understanding of APIs (REST), SDKs, open standards (OAuth, OpenAPI) and feel for memorable developer experiences. Bonus points for experience with Authentication providers such as AWS Cognito, Auth0 or Okta
  • 3+ years in Product Management or relevant product experience
  • Smart and an analytical mind - be able to create meaningful insights from user data
  • Be curious, a great listener and communicator
