As Q-CTRL Business Development Manager, you will be the only dedicated sales person in our growing business, however, you won't be alone, you will work with our marketing, product, and engineering teams as you qualify, negotiate and close incoming leads, and execute strategies to uncover new leads. You will work with scientists every day, as clients, internal stakeholders and partners, we are not expecting you to be a quantum physicist but a passion for science will set you up for success. 

In a nutshell, this role will allow you to exercise your sales collaboration skills in an industry like no other where everything is a first. If you enjoy science, emerging technology, and are a forever curious human, this role will challenge you like no other.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of the sales funnel to educate, qualify, negotiate and close incoming leads for all Q-CTRL products.
  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to ideate, execute and iterate go-to-market strategies.
  • Actively prospect new opportunities and leads for Q-CTRL.
  • Engage with product and engineering to effectively use their expertise to close deals. 
  • Educate product, engineering and marketing teams to develop their sales skills.

  • You’re resilient and have a track record of selling complex software solutions to universities and enterprises.
  • You are comfortable and successful selling virtually (on live video) and in-person.
  • You have experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
  • You love physics, you’re constantly curious and always learning.
