How you’ll make an impact...

The Global Marketing Lead - Partner is an exciting new role at Xero at what is a critical phase in our growth journey.  Reporting into the Global Segment Marketing & Performance team, you will work with our regional and global marketing teams and sales leaders to ensure we achieve our accounting and bookkeeping partner growth objectives and drive value for our partners every day.  This role will lead our marketing focus on how we continue to accelerate partner acquisition, activate our partners as they onboard so they gain full value from the Xero platform, (for their small business clients and their own practice) and then through their Xero experience turn them into our strongest advocates.  

The Global Marketing Lead - Partner will be tasked with working closely with a number of Xero stakeholders (Partner experience and sales lead, product marketing, digital marketing, ecosystem team, partner marketing  in regions) and external partners to develop compelling solutions that meet key segment pain points. You will analyse and commission research, work closely with partners, develop partner segment marketing plans and marketing content and sales collateral, drive demand generation activity, contribute to partner engagement & growth through education, events, digital and other activity and identify/track key metrics.   

You’ll be a problem solver and collaborator who will thrive on working with a variety of teams.  You will have experience at marketing via channel partners on a global scale. 

You will have outstanding marketing skills with an enthusiasm for building relationships. You will be comfortable with change and a fast moving environment.   You will have experience at working across countries or regions and proven expertise at balancing strategic and executional requirements. 

You will be motivated by seeing growth outcomes and have an urgency to deliver solutions, programs and outcomes that can be clearly measured.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development of partner marketing plans identifying opportunities to drive partner acquisition, activate partners and deliver enhanced partner value and engagement inspiring partner advocacy
  • Work closely with the Partner experience, Product Marketing and Sales team and other key stakeholders to identify new opportunities including market sizing, addressable market opportunity, competitive positioning and work with third parties to identify appropriate solutions
  • Build clear and compelling insights to help inspire and inform the business about segment strategy, potential and way forward
  • Analyse and understand the market and create appropriate industry and solution marketing strategy plans including lead solutions, messaging positioning and campaign/content elements including customer journeys, web content, demand generation programmes, sales collateral, educational content, customer case studies etc
  • Play an important role in contributing to the development of our partner strategy globally
  • Build a winning value proposition framework for use across our key accounting and bookkeeping partner segments
  • Work closely with regional teams and other global teams as appropriate re partner marketing execution and refinement
  • Collaborate with the enterprise marketing lead to ensure a seamless partner marketing experience
  • What you’ll bring... 

    The successful candidate will possess 10+ years of B2B marketing experience with significant Partner/channel marketing expertise working across regions/functions. Your leadership and influencing skills will be complemented by your entrepreneurial drive, work ethic and attention to detail. An ability to prioritize will be advantageous in a results driven, fast paced and collaborative environment as will an aptitude to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts. This will be an opportunity to demonstrate your data-driven approach to identifying market opportunities and key learnings to make strategic recommendations.
