About Team
The People Experience (PX) team supports our business with all things People related. Our purpose is to enable our people to do the best work of their lives, setting Xero apart as a truly great place to work. Our global team is made up of Human Resource gurus located in NZ, AU, US and the UK.

How you’ll make an impact
Working closely with a global team of PX Advisors and Business Partners, this role will be responsible for providing generalist PX/HR advice and guidance, ensuring that world class support is delivered to our ‘customers’ -  Xero employees, people leaders and our wider PX team.  

Reporting to the PX Advisory Manager, this role incorporates a broad spectrum of advisory responsibility, including advice and support to people leads on all people related matters.

What you’ll do
- Provide meaningful and accurate PX advice and guidance across the full spectrum of PX; including legislative requirements, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, employee development, PX systems, and employment relations.
- In conjunction with the relevant PX Business Partner, you will contribute and support on an array of topics such as change management, investigations, organisational design, and providing reporting, analysis and insights.
- Work in partnership with the Learning Experience team to help identify opportunities to upskill our Xeros and build on our People Leadership capabilities.
- Support Xero’s with queries regarding parental leave, other leave types, visas, on-call requirements and global mobility. 
- Supporting PX Business Partners and People Leaders through cyclical processes such as our Interim and Annual Salary Review processes. 
- Facilitate International transfers in conjunction with the relevant PX Business Partners and the Tax team.
- Contribute to global PX projects and initiatives.
- Identify and feedback opportunities for automation and self-service as we embark on a journey to empower our people leaders to take more ownership of the employee experience.

What you’ll bring with you
- Proven PX/HR Advisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Excellent communication skills including consultation, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations within the business.
- Current and practical working knowledge of all employment-related legislation and application of PX/HR best practice.
- Proven ability to deal with confidential information with discretion.
- A pragmatic approach and willingness to escalate issues in a timely manner if unable to meet deadlines, or unsure of how to resolve a situation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at one time.
- Strong stakeholder management experience.
- An appropriate HR qualification or relevant experience.
- Practical knowledge and experience in creating and facilitating effective people processes.
