Stake is looking for a part-time (2-3 days a week) Account Payable Officer to join our team at our Bondi Junction HQ, with a flexible hybrid working model .

About this role

The Accounts Payable Officer will take end-to-end ownership of Stake’s Accounts Payable function by managing invoices, expense claims and purchase orders, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, suppliers and employees. This role is crucial to enable Stake to operate smoothly as a business, maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure the company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

More responsibilities about your day to day include:

  • Owning all aspects of the Accounts Payable function including managing our accounts mailbox, processing purchase orders, invoices and expense claims, managing company card processes and ensuring we pay vendors in accordance with payment terms;
  • Maintaining strong relationships and communication with stakeholders including suppliers, vendors and employees, acting as a key representative of Stake in these interactions;
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures associated with the Accounts Payable function such as invoice and payment approvals;
  • Working closely with the Finance team and wider business to ensure timely completion of month end with respect to Accounts Payable processes and associated bank reconciliations;
  • Assisting with improvements to Accounts Payable processes to drive efficiencies,

A bit about you

  • You have experience in Accounts Payable positions; therefore a solid understanding of basic accounting and Accounts Payable principles;
  • Experience working with Xero, ApprovalMax and DextPrepare is advantageous, but not required.
  • Bachelor's qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to work automatously and in a team.
